We have the specs for Far Cry 4 pc edition

Soon enough I’ll buy Far Cry 4 and I just read the pc specs which, in my opinion, seem a bit high if you want to run the game in optimal configuration. I mean, 8GB of RAM and using ATI R9 290X video card does not seem a little overkill?

In any case if you have those specs you’ll surely be able to play pc games for 2 years from now on so you’ll be fine. I’ll have to insert 16GB of RAM next year, when I’ll get my new pc gaming computer ready.

So, here are the specs for Far Cry 4:
MINIMUM
Supported OS
Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8/8.1 (64bit versions only)
Processor
Intel Core i5-750 @ 2.6 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 955 @ 3.2 GHz

The best AMD APU upgrade? A dedicated graphics card. I LOL’d

Not much to say about this, actually. APU processors from AMD do a fine job in using those processors as graphics cards too, but they are weak. You may use a R7 270x in dual mode with the APU, but it won’t help too much.

The answer is always: dedicated graphics card. This is why I like the FX line of processors. They have to crunch numbers and a dedicated graphics card will handle the video games as they should. Separation of power in a gaming pc, bro.

PC gaming basics: how to set your memory speed and other overclocking basics

There isn’t really that much to say in regards to memory frequency in this pc gaming basics video: the newest motherboards come with UEFI, which is the successor of BIOS and has several options. In the gaming motherboards you can go to OC section, over-clocking, and then check the processor frequency and the RAM frequency.

What you need to do is to set the processor frequency to such a level that the computer runs smoothly. Some of the newest processors let you overclock them so use that function and see where the processor is stable.

After you do this go to the OC section again and then locate Extreme Memory Profiles XMP and then enable that. This will allow your RAM to run at higher frequencies than the default 1333MHz. If the RAMs can run up to 2400MHz, then increment from 1333 to 1600 to 1800 and so on until you get the highest sweet spot, where the computer is stable.

Now you’re ready to play the games you wanted to.

5 ways in which game developers troll gamers

I never knew the game developers troll people like that until I saw the video from above from Zoomin TV Games. The ways the games are trolling you can be subtle or outright bullyish.

Some examples:
– GTA V: you need to find 30 submarine pieces for only 10 bucks
– Devil May Cry: Dante’s hair changed to silver for only split second and then back to short black hair (apparently some are not amused by this move)
– Metal Gear Solid 2: Solid Snake exist for only 20 minutes in the game and is replace with another character
– Eternal Darkness: Sanity Effects – it deletes your save files or show no items in the inventory
– Batman: Arkham Asylum – Broken console. At a given time your screen might show glitches.

How to get your girlfriend into gaming

Tara Babcock is a model who loves gaming. She teaches us, guys who love gaming, how to get our girlfriends to love gaming too. I’m completely on her side as my girl isn’t very fond of games, but with the time she’ll like it. There’s no turning me back.

Usually if she cares enough about you she’ll let you game from time to time and if you care enough about her, you’ll spend a little less time gaming and a bit more with her too.

Happy gaming, guys!

Mundane Matt about Watch Dogs: I may not play the game again

Ubisoft released recently Watch Dogs and the game looks great. Until I’ll get a new pc in here I’ll have to look at others how they play it. This open world video game is packed with a ton of missions, the way i like it, and has a simple hacking device that lets you hack into almost anything.

Mundane Matt did a review of the game and he likes it. While the game is cool and all that, he may not play the game once again as he has done all the side missions and there is nothing else do come back to.

Honestly, the only games I ever came back to were GTA San Andreas and NFS Underground 2, FUEL and NFS Most Wanted. Nothing else. Any other shooters, RPGs and what-not were fun, but they never quite made me come back, so I understand Matt when he says he might not return to this game.

In any case, I can’t wait to play that game myself.

FarCry and racism? Cut the crap. NSFW.

Oversensitive a-holes all over the place. People, it’s a video game and, maybe, one of a kind. If you were living in the Far Cry world you could care less about racism, because all you wanted to do is fucking live another day. In a war torn area, where gangsters make the rules, nobody cares about your fucking whining about racism, sensitivity over who-knows-what subjects.

In a bad ass world, like the one depicted by Far Cry 4, it does not matter what race you are. Why? Because you’re going to fucking die in horrible ways and nobody will give a fuck. In a world where a human life costs less than a few dollars or a token of regret, there is no place for pussies or for political correctness. You kill or you get killed, that is the game.

It is getting tiresome to see that every video game release turns into a sexist, racist or whatever war when it is supposed to be a game, a game in which you shoot people and have fun. You don’t like it? Create your own game and shut the fuck off.

Is the FPS dying or evolving? I like it the way it is. Thanks!

Many would say that the FPS genre is falling, but not me. I likes the shooter games since day one and still like them, more than 11 years since I’ve played these games.

I don’t care about the actual action: point-shoot. What I care about are plots, scenery, new bombs and weapons, characters, best damn graphics you can get, use vehicles and open worlds, put me into a new reality and let me fight through it.

FPS are not what they are (great games) because they let us shoot things, but because they let us shoot things with style. There’s not bigger grace then punishing you NPC opponent with a grenade int he face and there is no bigger satisfaction then blowing up whole bases of foreign armies. You can’t beat that.

FPS are mindless guys who like to shoot? Yes, in a certain way. Boys, because they will play mostly these games, are a more violent breed and in the games they can let out a bit of that violence and competitive. Games are fun and FPS especially, won’t go away for a long time.
