Brain Stuff explains: soap is basically a salt with this name. Soap is made of an acid, which is in fact one type of fat, and of a base, a sodium hydroxide. The acid and the base brought together create the salt called soap. This salt attaches itself to fats and oils and to water too.
This is why soaps are good for removing the fats and oils from our skin and this is why the dirt gets cleaned from us when using soap and water. Soap, I thank you.
Also, no need to use those “antibacterial” soaps as they are simply bull. Use regular soap and you’ll be just fine.
