London had a small nuclear reactor in Greenwich

Tom Scott tells us again something that we might have not known, and right he is. The Royal Navy had, for more than thirty years, at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich a small nuclear reactor as part of a project

The Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich is that place that got blown up in Thor 2. It is a great place to make a great movie scene. Inside the Royal Naval College, in the King William building, there was a nuclear reactor from 1963 to 1995, but that reactor was able to produce only 10KW of energy, so it was a rather small one.

Who knows, maybe you pass right past a nuclear reactor on the way to work each day. Know what? If you see a nuclear reactor lying around all lonely on a street corner, adopt it. Be a nice guy 😀
