Mental Floss: 32 cars names. Where they’d come from?

John Green tell us where 32 cars had their name from. Some of the cars either mean something like light, move, wheel, concepts or after the name of their creator or some others are named after places or regions.

Some examples:
– Huynday is a Korean term for: present day, modernity
– Toyota was named after its creator Toyoda
– Chevrolet has been named after Louis Cevrolet
– Jeep comes from GP = governmental purpose or general purpose
– Pontiac, named after a place: Pontiac, Michigan
– Audi comes from Latin: audi, to hear
– Subaru is Japanese for Pleiades
– FIAT comes from: Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino
– Ferrari was named after Enzio Ferrari
– Cadillac is named after Antoine Laumet de La Mothe, sieur de Cadillac (the logo is created after his family’s cpde of Arms).
