Tornadoes on the Sun? Your read that right! reports that there are tornadoes on the Sun. The Solar Dynamics Observatory has watched the sun on 29th and 30th April 2014 and saw that, instead of the spurs of matter to just go up and away or back as you’d usually see, that highly condensed plasma was behaving like a tornado due to the intense magnetic forces over there.

Those tornadoes are hard to find, but they do happen. Next up: solar beings :))
