Adrenaline overdose: alpine coaster Sommerrodelbahn, in Mieders, Austria

This alpine coaster in Mieders, Austria can give you the creeps. It is like a downrange rollercoaster that can reach up to 40 kmph and has some very tight curves from place to place.

Update from comments: David Ellis – The Mieders alpine coaster isn’t made by Wiegand (who make the more traditional style rides with a conventional track) – this monorail style ride is made by a company called Brandauer.

If you ever wanna build such an alpine coaster you need to locate an alpine coaster manufacturer like Wiegand Slide.

Say what you want, but this year I’m going to Sommerrodelbahn, in Mieders, Austria. See you there!
