Robots from another age: behold the automaton called The Ethiopian Caterpillar

The Ethiopian Caterpillar is an automaton from 1820 created by Henri Maillardet. It costs between $350,000-$450,000 and has very small mechanisms inside it. Maybe way too small to think that they could have done that in the 19th century, but hey, today’s world might have been different if they would have continued to create such robots.

Anyways, these 9 seconds are well spent. The mechanical critter created 200 years ago works and it does it with sale. Yay.
