Amazing Aurora 2012 timelapse

Aurora 2012 from Christian Mülhauser on Vimeo.

Filmed in Norway in Ravnastua, Skoganvarre and Lakselv, this awesome time lapse takes my breath away. Christian Mülhauser, the author of this time lapse, used a Canon 5D MarkII with ML, a 7D and a 550D with ML and did a very nice job.

Aurora is, in fact, aurora borealis (from north). In southern hemisphere there is the aurora australis. Both are simply marvelous. If you like time lapse, but do not have the money for a fancy camera just try to use a GoPro HD. And if you use a DIY steadycam then you’ll do filming like a pro. Enjoy.Via [Slowmotion & Timelapse Theater].
